Volunteerism with Come Once more Farm and Lee Ann Zobbe
Information technology is the eventing programs like Lee Ann Zobbe's program in Area VIII that help keep the sport live. In addition to teaching students how to ride, Zobbe the director and coach at Come Over again Farm, also teaches her students how to volunteer. Whether her students are 11 years old or 70 years sometime, volunteering is an integral part of her plan located in Sheridan, Indiana.
Currently, Zobbe serves on the Indiana Eventing Association Lath, is a member of the USEA Classic Series Task Strength, a loyal volunteer at the IEA Horse Trials in Expanse 8, Pine Superlative Horse Trials in Surface area III, and the Land Rover Kentucky Iii-Twenty-four hour period Event where she volunteers as an Area Steward. "I enjoy doing information technology and I get satisfaction from being office of a successful team," said Zobbe.
Zobbe continued, "I believe anybody should volunteer to truly understand how many layers exist to make a successful equus caballus trials (or any show). I believe people who sympathise that will pitch in when something isn't quite right, rather than mutter nigh information technology."
Coming from a family unit of hard-working volunteers, Zobbe was taught the importance of volunteering through her parents. "I come from a family unit that believed in giving dorsum to their sport. My parents were into race cars. [They] did every job from Regional Executive, newsletter editor, to working at the track in registration, timing and scoring, and race organizer. Nosotros Zobbe kids were expected to practice our part from a young historic period and you could always notice a Zobbe kid somewhere useful. We timed cars in timing and scoring, checked people in in registration, worked the flags in the corners, marshaled cars on the false grid. Information technology was the normal thing to do, and they drilled it into us that no volunteers meant no sport."
"That said, my family unit liked race cars, I was enamored with horses. As before long equally I was old enough, I started helping out at local dressage shows and horse trials. I and then started organizing shows as well and organized my commencement horse show in 1986 (The Indy Dressage Classic); I oasis't stopped since so."
Students of Come Again Farm are treated like family unit and with that comes learning the life lessons that Zobbe was taught when she was immature. "All of my young students are like kids to me, and I believe it is part of my job to not only teach them riding, but too to teach them the value of existence an integral part of your chosen passion. I believe that was a very useful life lesson I got from my parents and I like to laissez passer information technology on."
This year Zobbe has logged in over 23 volunteer hours at Pine Superlative H.T. through eventingvolunteers.com. Equally a regular volunteer at Pine Meridian, Zobbe shared how she kickoff started volunteering at the Surface area III issue. "I first went down at that place to accept advantage of riding with Ian Stark for a calendar week, correct after their Advanced Horse Trials. The adjacent year I went over again just got there in time to help spring judge on Sunday. I've not gone every year, but I take a lot of years, and as I have, I've taken people downwards with me that accept also volunteered, all ages from 11 to 70+."
Pine Top hosts four USEA recognized events every year and they manage their volunteers through eventingvolutneers.com, the official online management organization of the USEA Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP) Presented past Sunsprite Warmbloods. This by winter season the loyalty to volunteering at Pino Top was no different for Zobbe and her students. "This year we [had] half the fences on the cross-country grade on Dominicus - at that place were a lot of Hoosier twangs on the radios! The Wilsons and crew have always been welcoming and treated us so well that we expect forward to making the expedition every year."
"I must give props to all my [students] every bit they can exist establish volunteering at not only my shows on the subcontract, but also at IEA HTs and many other events in Area VIII."

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our sport, the unsung heroes, and the people who make it possible to go along the sport alive. In efforts to recognize the dedication, commitment, and hard work that volunteers put into eventing, USEA formed the Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP) in 2015. Volunteer incentives include national and area recognition, year-terminate awards with ribbons, cash prizes, and trophies, a top ten USEA Volunteer leaderboard, and a Volunteer of the Twelvemonth award which is given to the volunteer who tops the leaderboard by accumulating the virtually volunteer hours over the USEA competition year.
